Join the Rescue Squad as a Recruit Program Member
Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, July 17
Are you interested in emergency services but have no prior certifications? Our Recruit Program may be for you. No certifications are required to join (must be 18+), and we’ll provide the training you need — including CPR, EMT-B, and EVOC. You’ll have 12 months to complete your certifications while assisting with at least 12 hours of administrative or station duties each month.

August 2025 Training

This weekend, our members had the opportunity to train with Bob Page’s High-Performance Ventilation class and practice BLS Mega Code simulations. Participants were able to see their beginning and final results of effective ventilation with a BVM utilizing a feedback device.
We were joined by partners from Rushmere VFD, Isle of Wight Dispatch, Isle of Wight County Fire Rescue, and IWVRS volunteers.
