IWVRS and other agencies distributed the provisions to working crews at the large brush fire incident around Bowling Green road. Incident command was set up just outside the store and crews remain on scene into the night, but the fire is contained at this time.

This weekend, our members had the opportunity to train with Bob Page’s High-Performance Ventilation class and practice BLS Mega Code simulations. Participants were able to see their beginning and final results of effective ventilation with a BVM utilizing a feedback device.

We were joined by partners from Rushmere VFD, Isle of Wight Dispatch, Isle of Wight County Fire Rescue, and IWVRS volunteers.
