Ladies Auxiliary Supports IWVRS for EMS Week

IWVRS would like to thank the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary for their fundraising efforts and support of the upcoming EMS week. Yesterday evening, the ladies presented the rescue squad with a $7,000 check from their fall drive-thru dinner and other fundraising throughout the year. AHA CPR - BLS Class

The Rescue Squad offers BLS for healthcare providers classes every second Wednesday of the month from 6:00-10:00 PM. A description and link of the class is provided below. Riverside Smithfield Hospital is now open

On January 6 2026 at 0824 Medic 64 staffed by Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad and Isle of Wight Fire Rescue staff transported the first patient to our new hospital, Riverside Smithfield Hospital. As of this moment, Riverside Smithfield Hospital is officially open and accepting patients.
